FAQ:

How long have you been a photographer for?
I have been shooting professionally for 8 years and in that time have captured over 75 weddings. My work has been published in print and online. Some of my work can be seen in: Toronto Life Magazine, Wedding Bells, the Kit Magazine, The Grid Magazine, FASHION Magazine, Pure Green Magazine and House Magazine.

What camera equipment do you use?
I shoot with all Digital Canon professional equipment. I shoot with 2 cameras: a Mark iii +  Mark iv. The lenses I use are Sigma ART 35mm (1.4) + Sigma ART 50mm (1.4) + Canon L series 85mm (1.2). My camera and my style work best in natural light. Light is the most important element of photography, so it's very important to me that we have a lot of natural light to work with. During the evening (when all available light is gone) I will use flash to get those fun dance shots.

How do you describe your style?
My style is candid, happy, fun, moody, documentary

Do you have a second shooter ?
I bring a second shooter/assistant with me to any wedding with over 50 guests.

Where are you based?
I am based in Toronto, but travel all around Ontario (and the world) to photograph.

Aside from telling you which family photos we want, should we provide you with a 'shot list' of the images we would like you to capture?
My speciality is capturing documentary-style photographs: matching stunning light with special moments to gather candid beauty throughout your special day. My eyes will be hard at work throughout, finding the honest emotions, unique glances, interactions and angles throughout your whole day. These instants are often a few seconds before dissolving into the next one, and if I'm following a shot list, I'll miss them. I will ensure I'm capturing all the perfect tiny details you've selected for your wedding day as well the monumental moments. Throughout your wedding, my team and I will be hustling to find and capture the magic of your wedding.

Will you provide us with all the raw files from the day?
I take great care with post production work; it's just as important a part of the final images as taking the pictures on your wedding day. The editing defines the final photographs that I'll be sending you and my style as a photographer that lead you to hiring me. Without this, the images would not be what you were looking for and as a result, the raw files are not part of the lovingly produced package you'll receive after your day.

How many images will we receive in our gallery? How long does it take to edit them? I select the best 500 images from your day. These images are all high resolution JPEGS and will be delivered to you via an online gallery. You can then download all the files straight to your computer, and also share the gallery with family and friends. It takes 8 weeks for your finished product to be delivered.

Are you the right photographer for our wedding?
I always like to meet with the couple before confirming the booking. Meeting will allow us to get to know one another. I am confident that if you are drawn to the style of my work then we will be a match made in photographic heaven!

How do we book you?
Contact me via the booking tab or email me at: Hello@KaylaRocca.com. Once we decide to move forward, I will send you a contract. I do require a 20% deposit to secure your date.

Hello! My name is Kayla Rocca. Iā€™m a Toronto-based editorial and wedding photographer.  My wedding photography style is natural, raw, ethereally, and fun. My vow is to photograph you, your guests and your day naturally, allowing the celebration to unfold without interruption. You can expect many photographs celebrating the beautiful, little moments and the big, sentimental ones. We will absolutely make the time to take some wicked, beautiful photos of the two of you, your wedding party and family... but it will be fun and sweet. I'll steal you for a bit of time, pose you, and then return you back to the celebrations. I have an amazing roster of clients you can check out here. On average, I like to photograph no more than 15 weddings a year. This gives me the opportunity to ensure that those weddings - and my relationship to those brides and grooms are the most intimate, beautiful, awesome occasions you could dream of. My background in portrait and documentary photography has given me a unique and personal take on capturing your wedding day.
